- Always personally address written communication (if you don't know the name of the person you are writing to, find it).
- Include any relevant Pre-approach research information at the beginning.
- Talk benefits, not facts and features (answer the question "What's in it for me?").
- Use powerful language
- Use "You," not "I."
- Be specific with your benefits.
- Use bullet points.
- Don't sell your product.
